Etihad restarts limited Abu Dhabi flights from March 6

    March 6, 2026

ABU DHABI: Etihad Airways said it has resumed a limited commercial flight schedule starting March 6, with services operating between Abu Dhabi and a set of international destinations through March 19. The airline said it is working to accommodate guests with previous bookings as soon as possible and that tickets are also available for sale through its own channels. Etihad urged travelers to check flight status before heading to the airport and to ensure contact details in bookings are up to date.

The carrier said passengers and members of the public should not travel to the airport unless they have been contacted directly by Etihad or hold a confirmed booking on one of the operating flights. Etihad said the restart was taken in coordination with relevant authorities following safety and security assessments. The airline said it continues to monitor regional conditions and will operate flights only when its safety criteria are met, adding that the schedule remains subject to change.

Etihad published a list of destinations scheduled to operate to and from Abu Dhabi between March 6 and March 19, noting that not all destinations will have daily service. The list spans hubs in Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, including London Heathrow, Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Vienna, Madrid and Rome, as well as New York JFK, Washington, Chicago, Boston, Toronto and Atlanta. In Asia and the region, destinations include Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Karachi, Riyadh, Jeddah, Muscat, Bangkok, Singapore, Seoul and Tokyo.

    Operating schedule and destination list

Etihad said all services remain subject to operational approvals and may be adjusted depending on regional airspace conditions. It advised customers to consult the latest schedule for specific days of operation on each route. The airline also said all other scheduled commercial services to and from Abu Dhabi remain suspended during this period, and that additional destinations will be added and communicated as conditions permit. Etihad said affected guests will receive direct communication confirming flight status and available options.

The airline set out rebooking and refund options for travelers impacted by the disruption. Etihad said guests holding Etihad tickets issued on or before February 28, 2026, with original travel dates up to March 21, 2026, may rebook free of charge onto Etihad operated flights up to May 15, 2026. It also said guests on all Etihad flights until March 21 may request a refund through its customer channels or via their travel agent, if booked through an agent.

    Passenger guidance and customer support

Etihad repeated its advice that travelers should check flight status before traveling to the airport and keep booking contact details current to receive updates. The airline said it is experiencing a high volume of calls and that customers seeking refunds are encouraged to use its digital refund request option where available. Etihad’s notice emphasized that only passengers with confirmed bookings on operating flights, or those contacted directly by the airline, should proceed to the airport during the limited schedule period.

Etihad said safety remains its priority and that services will operate only once its safety criteria are met. The airline’s limited schedule runs from March 6 to March 19 and covers a defined set of routes while other scheduled commercial services remain suspended. Customers were directed to monitor official Etihad updates for the latest operational information, including any changes to the list of operating destinations and flight timings during the period. – By Content Syndication Services.
