SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia plans to begin nonstop flights connecting Sharjah and Gdansk on Dec. 14, 2026. This new route will link Sharjah International Airport with Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport five times weekly. Flights are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This service expands Air Arabia’s network in the country and offers another direct connection from the UAE to northern Poland. Customers can already book tickets via the airline’s sales platforms.

On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrives in Gdansk at 8 p.m. The return, G9 0629, takes off from Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and lands in Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the next day. Flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays depart Sharjah at 8:15 a.m. Return flights from Gdansk leave at 1:05 p.m. and reach Sharjah at 10:25 p.m. All times mentioned are local.
Once operational, Gdansk will become Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah. The airline already serves Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport from its Sharjah hub. Additionally, Air Arabia will start four weekly flights to Katowice on Dec. 17, 2026. These flights will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Together, the Gdansk and Katowice routes will expand Air Arabia’s direct Polish destinations beyond the current two cities.
Gdansk enhances Air Arabia’s expanding Polish route network
The Gdansk route is part of Air Arabia’s broader European schedule from Sharjah. Its destinations include Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, and Rome. The airline has also announced services to Frankfurt and Katowice. Gdansk offers a new destination on Poland’s Baltic coast and provides travelers in the Pomeranian region a direct scheduled link to the UAE via Sharjah.
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, stated that Gdansk is being added to the airline’s growing Polish network. Gdansk Airport President Tomasz Kloskowski highlighted the significance of the direct Sharjah route for the Pomeranian area. The airport considers Sharjah a transfer hub for destinations in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Gdansk Airport serves the Tri-City area, which includes Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with other northern Polish communities.
Five weekly flights link Sharjah and Gdansk
Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The airline is now accepting bookings for the Gdansk route via its website, call center, and travel agencies. The schedule designates G9 0628 and G9 0629 for Monday and Saturday flights. Flights on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday will operate as G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. These five weekly flights provide nonstop service both ways between the two airports.
The Gdansk service begins on Dec. 14, just days before the airline’s planned Katowice route. With Krakow and Warsaw already connected to Sharjah, these new routes will give Air Arabia a network of four Polish cities. Passengers from Gdansk will have five nonstop options weekly, both ways, according to the published timetable. As of Aug. 26, 2026, Air Arabia confirms the Dec. 14 launch date and the five-flight weekly schedule for the Sharjah-Gdansk route.
